
Michael J. Seel, M.D. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in adult reconstruction, that is, specialty training in hip and knee replacement. Dr. Seel was born and raised in Pittsburgh. His undergraduate degree in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering was completed at Carnegie Mellon University.
Dr. Seel went to medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. Post graduate training in orthopaedic surgery was performed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Dr. Seel completed additional fellowship training at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Seel has been in practice for ten years in Western Pennsylvania. Most recently, he has served as Medical Director for the Institute for Computer Assisted Orthopedic Surgery, a research laboratory at the cutting edge of utilizing computer navigation in orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Seel is available at office in Bloomfield and in the North Hills, in Wexford. Although Dr. Seel specializes in hip and knee replacement; he also has a general orthopaedic surgery practice and is fully trained to care for patients with fractures, sprains and other orthopaedic upper and lower extremity problems.
