Dr. Sam Akhavan completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, where he subspecialized in minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee and elbow. His Surgical Internship and Orthopaedic Residency were completed at the University Hospitals of Cleveland through the Case Western School of Medicine. During his fellowship and residency programs, he served as team physician for professional athletic teams such as the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians; college teams for John Carroll University and Ursuline College; and several high school boys’ football teams.
