The Orthopedic Program at Allegheny General Hospital was last reviewed in October of 2004. The site visit was early due to the retirement of the Department Chairman. By ACGME guidelines a site visit must be conducted after the departure of a Chairman to review the associated program. The site visit led to 5 year accreditation without deficiency, despite the myriad regulation changes over the past year.
